How We Help

VOUCHER PROGRAM
Bring your prescription information to one of our partners: Dorcas Ministries, Oak City Cares, Centro Para Hispanas Familias,  or call the FPC Hotline at (919) 833-4070 and receive a voucher for the cost of your medication.  If you meet the eligibility requirements, a pharmacy within the FIGS network will fill your prescription at no cost.

DRUG PURCHASE AND MEDICAL SUPPLY PROGRAMS

• We fund the purchase of over half of all generic medications dispensed for patients treated at Urban Ministries Open Door Clinic and 100% of all medications prescribed at Urban Ministries Walk-in Clinic.
• Patients of Alliance Medical Ministry, Urban Ministries and NeighborHealth Center may be eligible for free prescription medication filled by a FIGS pharmacy partner.
• ​We underwrite the costs of the UNC School of Nursing Mobile Health Unit for two Saturdays a month at Dorcas Ministries.  The nurses and nurse practitioners screen clients for health problems, educate them on health promotion and disease prevention, and connect them with needed resources and care. 

Who We Help

FIGS of Wake County is dedicated to improving access to prescription healthcare for:

• Children and adults who are either uninsured or underinsured, and
• People who may be eligible for Medicaid but haven’t yet filed for benefits.

In 2023 FIGS funded over 36,000 prescriptions for Wake County residents.

My husband lost his job and with only my part-time work, we could not afford my medicine. I was so scared that I would get sicker.  I was so grateful for FIGS because Alliance Medical Ministry was able to get my medication for free during this crisis.
